Update 08.31.21 // Fragment has confirmed that the pair will be an exclusive for Japan, with imagery for the release mimicking the original College Colors campaign from 1985. The only other altered component being the Fragment ankle stamp, which appears here in blue, not white.Ī release date for the follow-up Fragment x Nike Dunk High “Toyko” has not yet been set, but it is expected to arrive this Fall, as per the midsole’s directive. Black leather overlays, liners, and laces assume the same positioning, as too does the sole unit which remains unchanged. It’s construction is almost identical to the aforementioned Beijing release, though here it’s uppers present in navy instead of plum. Now, Fujiwara has plans to reprise the 2010 City Pack Dunk designs, beginning with this upcoming Beijing inspired Dunk High. At the end of last year, the head of Japanese brand fragment alluded to a 2021 takeover through an Air Jordan 3 collaboration. Here, though, it presents its colors in different proportions and in alternate blocking. Hiroshi Fujiwara has plenty in-store this year. This one again takes cues from 2010’s Fragment x Nike Dunk High “City Pack” by borrowing the scheme from the right foot of the “New York” release. Teased by the Japanese design legend on his social media earlier today is the follow-up Fragment x Nike Dunk High collaboration to June’s “Beijing” banger. Check out the new image below, courtesy of shawnleekix.The Dunk’s not done on collaborations, it seems, with Fragment Design’s Fujiwara Hiroshi hitting the ‘gram with a brand new flex. It is believed that the release of the three colorways will be divided by region, with reports of a launch as early as June 2021. A new image shows the “Beijing” colorway with text on the midsole, though this text includes “SU21,” possibly indicating a Summer 2021 release instead of Fall, though this could just be a sample pair. ![]() Update (03/05/21): A possible first look at the new Fragment x Nike Dunk High “City Pack” has surfaced. Each of the three colorways in the original Fragment x Nike Dunk High “City Pack” featured a mismatched design and incorporated Fragment’s thunderbolt logo on the heel.
